Sorry I meant to post a reminder a couple of weeks ago, but……(fill in whatever unconvincing excuse you can think of). However This is a reminder that this coming Saturday, Oct 1 will the Class of 2011 first official Alumni Parent Reunion Tailgate. Our predecessor alumni football parents started a tradition a few years ago coming back to tailgate and renew acquaintances on the first conference home game of the season. With only 3 home games this year due to transitioning to the NCAC last spring once the schedule was announced we selected this weekend as the reunion game.
No reason to change up the routine. We will start with breakfast about 8:30 for the hearty and the rest as usual including Tiger Walk at 10:30. With the Tigers reeling a bit having a losing record for the first time in a long time, I think we could provide a big lift to the morale of all.
2012 Tiger parents are you up to the challenge? Let's see what you have. Bring it on. We look forward to catching up with you and meeting the new families. By the way, is every hair still in place on Bob Harris? Is Linda in a new cast or something? Does Barry have a new toothpick to chew on?
Please let all know if you are going to be able to join us. If you cannot, share a comment and let us know how you are doing &/or if you will be attending one of the other two home games this year: Nov. 5 for Senior Day vs Albion or Nov. 12 for the Bell. We hope as many parents can join us. PLEASE SHARE WITH YOUR SONS, as well. As usual all are welcome.
I can’t wait to share a ‘gar with Karazsia; hear about ND/Michigan crap from Bryson; why the Vikes never want to visit Indy again from Doan or Lambert’s explanation of Batesville’s defensive strategies. Besides we have weddings and other fascinating stuff to hear about since last year and I assume Brady’s and Dahlstrom’s have announcements about new grandkids on the way or something.
I am psyched already. Better go and fire-up the grill to make sure it still works.
