FAMILY WEEK-END VS.  CENTRE

As John Belushi said, “Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell, no!”.   The DePauw Tiger football team is just not used to losing two in a row.  Even though there were many positives from last weeks travel it was certainly rough with a loss and possible season ending injury to the senior quarterback.   Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ethan and his family.  Some of the positives included a late rally comeback scoring twice in the last four minutes.  We also traveled very well.  It was great to see so many Tiger fans at the tailgate.

We can’t emphasize enough that the positive support from family and friends is more important than ever.   With one of only three home games this year please join us for the traditional tailgating and tiger walk.   Our players really need our support and we hope that EVERYONE will be ready for the TIGER WALK at approximately 10:30 a.m.   New parents this is a tradition you won’t want to miss.  It is pretty special to see our team head into the stadium and get fired up with the Tiger fight song.    Please join the other Tiger families by the “back row” even if you have to park a few rows over.  See Ed or Linda for a name tag – we are getting old and aren’t the greatest at remembering names J.

Southwest Airlines just won’t let us bring our grill, easy-up, tables or other tailgating accessories so we are depending on others to step up as “Grill Meisters” to keep the tradition going.

This first home game also brings back a number of alumni players and parents.   See Roger’s post below – we’re hoping everyone is up for the challenge!

SPORT DRINKS STILL NEEDED

Coach has asked for additional assistance with sport drinks for the road trips. Please bring drinks to the tunnel before the game Saturday. Thank-you in advance for your support.
