From our Monon Spirit Organizers

Linda Brown and I have been collecting donations at the home ballgames to purchase noise makers for the Monon Bell game and we have raised $400.00, but according to history they have spent around $3000.00 in the past for this event. Last year parents were able to order thunderstix from www.jhspecialty.com and they shipped them to Greencastle and were distributed at the game.

Since we are not close to the goal to purchase the noisemakers we have come up with 3 options for parents to support our football team by making some noise at Wabash:

1) We will have the donation jar again at the game this Saturday (at the back Row). It will be located in the tailgate section of the parking lot in the middle of all the wonderful food.

2) The second option is going to http://www.originalthunderstix.com/ then go to DePauw Game to place the order. Shipping address is Deb Evans 7147 N 100 W Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Click on the DePauw link on the left side of the page and you can order and pay for thunderstix which will be delivered in Crawfordsville and distributed at the game; or

3) You can purchase yellow material, (I purchased felt - it is heavier and 72" wide vs 36" wide) and cut it in 12"x12" square for rally towels or you can purchase the material bring it to the game Saturday and get it to myself or Linda and we will make sure it gets cut and brought to the game in Crawfordsville.

We also need volunteers on game day to help distribute the spirit items to our fans. Two years ago at Wabash, we had several volunteers stationed at the visitors stadium entrance to pass out the spirit items as they walked in the stadium.

Finally, for those families that still have Thunderstix left over from last year please bring them to one of the final two home games (preferably this week) so we know how many we have left.
